Lifetime released the first trailer for The Clark Sisters: The First Ladies of Gospel on January 15th, 2020 and I have to say that this movie looks PROMISING.
Produced by Queen Latifah, Missy Elliott and Mary J. Blige, the film will debut on Lifetime, Saturday, April 11 at 8 p.m. This is Easter weekend, yall.
Aunjanue Ellis stars as the sisters’ mother, Mattie Moss Clark while Kierra Sheard portrays her mother Karen, Christina Bell as Twinkie, Sheléa Frazier as Dorinda, Angela Birchett as Jacky and Raven Goodwin as Denise.
The Clark Sisters, originally from Detroit Michigan, are the highest-selling female gospel group in history and are contemporary gospel pioneers. They have released 16 albums since Jesus has a lot to Give in 1973 and have won 3 Grammys.
Check out the trailer after the jump and let me know what you guys think of it. Will you be watching?
Thankx,
xT
