For the 2020 graduating class of Scott High School, a huge weight was lifted off their shoulders in regards to how they would pay for their college tuition this coming fall. Former Ottawa Hills, Ohio resident and former CEO of Green Thumb, Pete Kadens surprised the students and their families with the news of committing to pay all of the student’s college fees after they graduate – including room and board. But wait up, that wasn’t all! Mr. Kadens also promised to pay in full, tuition for one of their parents as well.

This is a game changer for a many of the students who perhaps were still unsure about what their goals will be after graduating due to their financial situations.

What a blessing! A Grace Moment, am I right?

The HOPE Toledo initiative was started by Mr. Kadens with the goal to do the same for every other Toledo, Ohio high school. You can make donations to help on their own website.
