The older I get, the more my definition of a “good day” has changed. I don’t need something exciting to happen anymore. Sometimes a good day is simply one where everyone I love is okay, nothing goes terribly wrong, I laugh a little, eat something good, and go to bed with some peace. I’m learning that ordinary days deserve more appreciation than we give them.
